LEONARD COHEN BY MAX S. GERBER "This picture was taken on August 31, 2001 for the cover of the L.A. Weekly in Leonard's back yard. I'm a sucker for tree swings. He couldn't have been more gracious, offering us cold cuts and cappucino popsicles. I was afraid that we were only going to have a short time to shoot, but Leonard said take as long as you need and was very agreeable about doing different set-ups.
