COUNTERFEITS FROM RUSSIA

Page One - Albums released before "Ten New Songs"



All CD albums presented on these two pages come from Russia or other East European countries. There are certain charasterics that connect all these products to each other:
  • The producers are not mentioned or the company names are false
  • Some albums misuse the names of venerable Western companies, like EMI, and MTV
  • The cataloque numbers are trumped-up
  • Every song on all these albums have been copied from Cohen's official albums
  • Photos of the inserts have been taken from Cohen's books, songbooks, promotional material and even from this very website!
  • The albums are totally unauthorized and illegal, the songs and artwork have been copied without any permissions
  • The artists don't get any royalties
  • These albums are available at Russian etc. flea markets - local price is about 1.50 USD, but foreign customers are charged much higher prices (typically 10-15 USD)

    It is highly recommended that you abstain from buying these albums - at least if you live outside Russia. Original albums are even cheaper and there is no new material whatsoever on these fakes.
